Current price is a bit shocking,
$1189 us dollars roughly £831,
another bit of news the B16/B20 has gone into a tug of war with the HP slate,
as both hardware seem similar,
the main difference being the screen size...
As the Hanvon has just started to come out rest assure the price should drop once more online retailers start to stock these units,
only place to get a cheaper deal at the moment is China....

ReplyDeleteone which will be a digitizer screen similar to style to wacom,
that would be great, hope components are swappable, cause 1GB and HDD would be very slow. Where did you get those infos from. German hanvon support says, it has no active screen. Any shop listing it now?

ReplyDeletegood news is that hanvon are sticking with these model number so only thing you need to remember,
the B16 will have the capacitive screen,
and the B20 will have the Electromagnetic screen

apart from the optional screen the rest of the specs are the same in both models,
upgrading on the site it does say max 2gb ram so i assume this shouldnt be a problem
hard drive yeah it is only a 42000rpm drive sata drive so changing that would be ideal...

Once release in Germany expect to pay under the cost of the B10,
hmmm. i am not really convinced that they have them really on stock. They only copy the description of the device of the original hanvon site. hmmm, as said before, i really really want one with active digitizer. Dont know which to order, Hanvon or HP Slate. Maybe my decision depends on what device can be delivered earlier. OFFTOPIC: You described here which fans you use for the b10. i realy have to change it too, cause my wife will kill me when i am watching hd viedeon in bed at night, and the fan is as loud as a jet. do you know where to order those fans you described? ReplyDeletei spoke with Hanvon 2 months ago when there said the B16 and B20 will be released around December/January
check first post i did a fan mod rather then replacing it,
ReplyDeletemain reason the fan in the unit cost £20/30, $30/40,
so wasnt cheap,
so decided to keep it and use diodes to power down the fan,
worked a treat...
